A Tribute to Lesley Wing, Our Beloved Optical Consultant
It’s difficult to find the right words to express the depth of our sorrow at the loss of Lesley Wing, a treasured member of our Harrison Coley Opticians family in March, Cambridgeshire. Lesley, who had been with us for over eight years, passed away in September 2023 after a brave seven-month battle with cancer. Our hearts are heavy, but they’re also filled with cherished memories of a woman who touched our lives in countless ways.
The Woman Behind the Smile
Lesley was so much more than an exceptional optical consultant; she was a radiant soul who brought warmth and joy to everyone around her. She had a passion for knitting, a skill she often said was like “weaving love into every stitch.” Her love for fashion was evident, not just in her impeccable style but also in the way she helped our clients choose frames that made them feel confident and beautiful.
A Life Full of Colour
Lesley had a knack for making the world a brighter place, quite literally. She adored flower arranging, likening each bouquet to a “symphony of nature’s best tunes.” She was the kind of person who could find beauty in the simplest things and had the rare ability to make everyone around her feel special.
Family, Friends, and Unforgettable Moments
Above all, Lesley was a family woman. She spoke often of her loved ones, her voice tinged with pride and affection. She was the glue in her circle of friends and family, always there with a listening ear or a comforting word. Being around Lesley felt like sitting next to a warm fireplace on a cold day; you couldn’t help but feel the love radiate from her.
